A little vanilla, a lot of kindness: How QUEEN® helps GBB share kindness

A dash of vanilla, a sprinkle of colour, a little kindness. Sometimes the small things make the biggest difference.

For generations, QUEEN® has been helping Kiwi and Aussie home bakers create delicious treats. This year, through a generous donation of baking goods, the iconic baking brand helped our volunteers turn those treats into moments of connection, comfort and care for people going through tough times.

By providing baking products for GBB volunteers, QUEEN® is helping us do what we do best: spread kindness, one box of home baking at a time.

More than just a sweet treat

For the team at QUEEN®, baking has always been about much more than the finished product.

"Baking has a unique way of slowing us down, helping us step away from everyday life and immerse ourselves in a moment of creativity. It's a chance to delight the senses and create something which we can share with others." QUEEN® told us.

It's a philosophy that fits perfectly with GBB's mission.

Every week, our volunteers turn everyday ingredients into something extraordinary: boxes of home baking delivered to organisations supporting people experiencing hardship, illness or other challenges.

And while the baking itself is always appreciated, it's the message behind it that matters most.

"Receiving a baked treat can be an escape for the person receiving it. It tells someone that another person has taken time out of their day to think of them, that feeling of connection can make a real difference when someone is struggling,” QUEEN® say.

A partnership built on shared values

When QUEEN® first heard about Good Bitches Baking, it was the simplicity of the idea that caught their attention.

They said what stood out about us is “how simple, yet powerful the idea is. Taking something as familiar as home baking and turning it into a way to connect with people, support them and show they’re cared for. It’s genuinely inspiring."

That shared belief in the power of baking made the partnership a natural fit.

By donating products, QUEEN® helps our volunteers create delicious treats that brighten people's days. It's a wonderful example of how businesses can make a meaningful contribution to their communities, without necessarily writing a cheque.

For QUEEN®, the rewards go beyond seeing their products put to good use.

"Partnerships like this remind us why baking matters. We talk a lot about creating a flavourful escape, and it's genuinely rewarding to see that idea come to life through GBB."

A little kindness goes a long way

QUEEN® believes businesses have a responsibility to give back to the communities that support them, and encourages others to find ways to get involved.

"Whether you're contributing products, services, expertise or resources, you're helping strengthen communities and support people going through a difficult time."

It's a message we wholeheartedly agree with. Partnerships like this help make our work possible, and we appreciate QUEEN® being part of the GBB whānau.

And if the QUEEN® team could share a cuppa and a freshly baked treat with our volunteers? They'd have a simple message:

"We would simply say thank you. While every batch of baking starts with ingredients, what you're really adding is care, compassion, time and human connection. That's something truly special, and we're honoured to support the amazing work you do. And okay, maybe we'd sneak in a question about your secret recipe too."

Thank you, QUEEN®, for helping us bake a little more kindness into the world.
